For full time students, this course will run two days per week across 20 weeks. For other flexible delivery options contact us.
This course is delivered by face-to-face methods (on campus at either our Balcatta or Bunbury training centre). Some additional study may be required from home. Other flexible delivery options are available on request.
The cost of this course is $2950. This price is inclusive of all resources, tuition & excursions.
A $500 of this cost is required prior to commencement of the course. It is then a $75 fee per week.
This course contains seven core units as listed below and the total hourly requirement is 300 nominal hours.
BSBITU313 - Design and produce text documents (50 nominal hours)
BSBMED301 - Interpret and apply medical terminology appropriately (40 nominal hours)
PREAPU401A - Provide information on human anatomy and physiology (60 nominal hours)
PREMHS402A - Provide information on the fundamental principles of microbiologgy used in health settings (30 nominal hours)
PREASU403A - Apply academic skills (40 nominal hours)
PREMHA404A - Use mathematics in a nursing and health context (45 nominal hours)
PREPHC405A - Use fundamentals of physics and chemistry in a health context (35 nominal hours)
Balcatta Course: 22nd Oct 2018 - 26th Apr 2019
Bunbury Course: 11th Feb 2019 - 12th Jul 2019
Upon completion of this qualification, students are able to apply for further TAFE study in to HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing or other Diploma level courses through the TAFE admissions process.
